Description
Features:
- Compatible with Airflite™ helmets, featuring a 3D molded process for optical clarity and a fog-free coating
- Force shields are a variation of the Fliteshield and fit the same helmets.
Note: Shields come lighter color than image Shown due ECE 22.06 Standard
The ECE 22.06 standard for motorcycle helmets includes specific requirements for face shields, focusing on impact resistance, light transmission, and anti-fog performance. Face shields must now withstand a high-speed impact test, where a steel ball is fired at 60 m/s (134 mph), according to Copenhagen Motorcycles. The visor should not shatter, deform, or detach, and the housing shouldn’t break apart. Light transmission for tinted visors is now lowered to 35% from 50%, allowing for darker visors during daytime use, according to RAD.eu. Additionally, visors are tested for anti-fog capabilities and optical correctness.
